Before the state appointed Emergency Financial Manager took control of the city, the Hamtramck Fire Deptartment had staffing levels of 38 personnel - 34 of which were assigned to supression.

After reducing our numbers to ridiculously low numbers and an outrageous amount of overtime, we are now up to 32 men in fire supression, with the chief and fire marshal.
