Before the state appointed Emergency Financial Manager took control of the city, the Hamtramck Fire Deptartment had staffing levels of 38 personnel - 34 of which were assigned to supression.

After reducing our numbers to ridiculously low numbers and an outrageous amount of overtime, we are now up to 31 men in fire supression, with a fire chief and fire marshal.
