Once again, members of the Hamtramck Fire Department are joining the American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb. The Fight for Air is one of the American Lung Association’s signature fundraising events. These unique events are hosted in prominent skyscrapers, stadiums or arenas and challenge participants as they walk, run or race up hundreds of steps – here in Detroit, we will be climbing up and then down the Ally Detroit Center! The funds we raise support research, education and patient programs to help the millions of Americans impacted by asthma, COPD, lung cancer, air pollution and other lung diseases.
We will be climbing all 62 floors or 1,278 steps in full firefighter turnout gear to support this cause… but, we need your help! (Unfortunately, due to space limitations we only have two members participating this year – so your assistance is needed more than ever).
