Where fire departments from all over the metro-Detroit area will face off in the ultimate chili cook-off in support of The DFBF. Teams will enter their best firehouse chili recipe, and participants will have the opportunity to sample and vote for Detroit’s Best Firehouse Chili Champion 2014.

“In the wake of Detroit’s bankruptcy, Detroit firefighters’ healthcare benefits, that were initially promised to them, have nearly all been taken away,” said LeDuff, who is producing the event along with Restaurant Owners Dean “Dino” Bach and Grace Keros. “We thought a group of us could ban together and create a unique event to support those with no security and that sacrifice their lives and health everyday for our city.”
Beyond the chili challenge, Funky and Soulful Sounds will be provided by Shine on Kentucky Moon and The Howling Diablos.
