12/16/2007: "HIPPO'S KIDS"
 On Friday the Hamtramck Firefighters responded with Santa Claus! A yearly tradition, Santa arrived to visit with "Hippo's Kids: a group of special needs children organized by school employee and local tavern owner John "Hippo" Hypnarowicz and his wife Mary. Santa took pictures with the kids and passed out presents. The Hamtramck Firefighters assisted along with other volunteers and entertainers.
